Mick (2026),

In April 2026, Eli Laifer brought me on to his short documentary project, Mick.

 

It focuses on the life of his grandfather, Michael 'Mick' Italiander, the youngest propaganda artist in the country, during the second world war, as well as highlighting his career in the advertising in the 1960s and finally exploring his passion for his art work later on in his life.​​

 

Unsurprisingly, with Eli's brilliant direction, it won the Best Student Film award at London Indie Film Festival for its 17th season and will no doubt go on to win some more awards for Eli's wonderful work.
