After working on The Package, Sam McLeod generously brought me on for his next film titled, The Inspiration, which I started working on in May 2025.
It is a drama about an obsessive writer trying to win over her estranged friend with her own screenplay, unaware of his intentions to steal it for his own success.
When writing this score, I took inspiration from contemporary avant-garde composer, György Ligeti, as well as from the score of 'Yumeji', composed by Shigeru Umebayashi, for the string arrangements.
It premiered at Hyde Park Book Club on October 16th 2025, alongside 'The Package' as a double feature, which I loved going to see. It was the first time I've watched my own project with a big audience - very nervewracking but also exciting!
It is currently being submitted to many film festivals in the hopes of being selected and shown to an even bigger audience. When it officially releases, it will be on this page as well as the Projects page!
