In December 2024, I got in contact with Leeds Arts University to collaborate with some of their students. Luckily, after a few weeks, I was emailed by a few talented directors from the university and Sam McLeod was one of them!

So, in January 2025, I started to compose the music for his short film called The Package, written and directed by Sam himself. It is a dark comedy short film depicting a scrawny businessman, with a debt to a violent loan shark, who must deliver a package by midnight to escape death.
I had a great time writing this score, taking inspiration from the score of 'Se7en', composed by Howard Shore as well as leaning into the more sinister sounds from the score of 'There Will Be Blood' composed by Jonny Greenwood, of which Sam loved the idea.

After a month of writing, the film was officially released on YouTube on February 19th (shown below), then in March 2025, it won the award for Best Low Budget Film at the Berlin Short Film Awards!
